Client Overview
Türkiye Finans is a Turkish participation bank with more than 300 branches and 4,000 employees. A significant portion of the bank’s centralized processes had been automated, but stakeholders wanted to extend those efficiencies to branch-specific operations. One area of focus was money transfer instructions. The instruction documents were typically highly variable and unstructured—leading to long processing times and significant human intervention.
With intelligent document processing from UiPath, Türkiye Finans has automated the extraction of key data from the transfer forms that customers submit. AI tools send important information to the customer instruction system. Any documents that are not reliable are kept for review. Today, 84% of payment instructions are processed without a human.
We had used many traditional OCR engines, but they weren’t very successful. We set up a proof-of-concept with IDP and discovered it wasn’t like OCR as we knew it. It was very smart, and the success ratio was very high.
Türkiye Finans used artificial intelligence and intelligent document processing from UiPath to automate its manual handling of free-format money transfer instructions from customers, significantly speeding up the process.
The initiative substantially improved a previously cumbersome and error-prone business process by reducing error rates.
With automation, most payment instructions can be processed without human help. This allows the workforce to focus on more important tasks.
